We’re Here to Help Young People
If you are involved with the child intervention system (including if you have a PSECA worker) or the youth justice system and have worries about decisions that are being made about you, we might be able to help.
Even if you’re unsure we’re the right place, give us a try! One of our friendly intake workers will listen and ask a few questions. Depending on what is happening for you, we might be able to help.
An advocate is someone who can help you with your concerns about the services you are receiving and what you would like to be different. They will help you learn about your rights and support you to have your voice heard when decisions are being made about you. Learn more about advocacy here.
If you have a court matter coming up that will decide with whom and where you will live, you have the right to have your opinion heard by the judge. Our Legal Representation for Children and Youth (LRCY) program provides lawyers to help you be heard in these situations. Learn more about LRCY here.
Everyone has rights. Children and youth also have specific rights to protect them under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
If you are involved with the child intervention or youth justice system, you have special rights.
Our Children Have Rights booklet can help you understand your rights if you are in care or receiving child intervention services.
Our youth justice information sheet helps you understand your rights in the youth justice system.
