Legal Representation for Children and Youth Conference
Every two years we host a Best Practices for Children and Youth Conference. This is an opportunity for lawyers, academics, students, and child-serving professionals to learn, reflect, and develop new plans for practice in their work with young people.
National Child Day
Celebrated annually on November 20, National Child Day acknowledges the importance of children’s rights and Canada’s commitment to upholding them. The OCYA participates in a provincial National Child Day collective made up of various organizations across the province that work together to elevate the importance of this day.
International Youth Day
International Youth Day is a UN-designated awareness day that takes place every year on August 12. The purpose is to draw attention to the issues young people face and celebrate their potential. Every two years, we hold a community event to mark this important day.
